Skin Cancer Update with Prof Giuseppe Argenziano [November 2019]

By Skin Cancer Institute |November 13, 2019

In this month's skin cancer update video, Professor Giuseppe Argenziano discusses the option of removing the crust covering a lesion in-clinic rather than prescribing a topical treatment and asking the patient to come back.

This is helpful to reach a diagnosis straight away rather than prescribing a topical treatment to remove the crust over a period of time, which could result in poor patient outcomes if the patient forgets to return for a diagnosis of the lesion beneath the crust.

It is also important to know what you are dealing with before letting the patient go home, as in the real patient case Giuseppe provides.
